Paper industry slag for the production of building ceramics

Background Re-use of wastes as a part sustainable development is one the most important aspects healthy human life and environmental protection. This study examines viability using paper industry slag for production building ceramics. Results Paper was used in ceramic bricks burnable additive amounts 5, 10 15 wt%. The introduced without after three different preparatory operations: dried, dried ground, granulated dried. Clay raw material quartz sand lean additive. samples were made by plastic molding. Drying carried out at temperature 100 °C. To determine optimal heat treatment temperature, firing 900, 950, 1000 1050 °C with holding maximum 30 min, followed determination properties samples. Conclusions It has been established that obtained have good physical mechanical comply current standards. At same time, use makes it possible to solve problem waste management, well obtain secondary resource from – additive, which leads savings materials energy resources bricks. © 2022 Authors.
